Booking & Advisory Services – Terms & Conditions

Please read the following Booking & Advisory Services – Terms & Conditions carefully as they contain important information about your legal rights, remedies and obligations.By making any booking for travel products with us, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Booking Terms & Conditions. These terms apply to any bookings made with our consultants in-store, by telephone, by email or through our website.Do not make any booking unless you understand and agree to these Booking Terms & Conditions together with the booking conditions of the travel providers supplying the travel services included in your arrangements.Nothing in these Booking Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude, limit or modify any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Professional Advisory Services
Holiday World provides professional travel advisory and booking services developed through many years of industry experience and supplier relationships.Our role includes researching travel options, providing advice, arranging bookings with travel providers and assisting clients throughout the travel planning process.By engaging Holiday World to arrange your travel, you acknowledge the value of these professional services and agree that applicable service fees may apply for the time, expertise and resources involved in planning and managing your travel arrangements.

Travel services are provided by independent travel providers such as airlines, cruise lines, tour operators and accommodation providers.• Prices may change until reservations are confirmed and deposits are received.• Deposits and service fees are generally non-refundable once paid, subject to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.• Amendment and cancellation fees may apply and are determined by the relevant travel provider as well as any applicable Holiday World service fees.• Traveller names must match passports exactly. Costs associated with correcting names or reissuing travel documents may apply.• Travel insurance is strongly recommended to protect against unexpected events such as cancellations, illness, travel delays or lost luggage.• Travel providers may change schedules or services after booking. Definitions
“We”, “Us” or “Our” means Holiday World Pty Ltd as Trustee for The Melhuish Trust (ABN 64 427 365 767) trading as Holiday World.“You” or “Your” means any user of our website or any person acquiring travel arrangements through Holiday World, including anyone included in the booking.“Booking & Advisory Services” means services provided by Holiday World to assist you in planning, researching and arranging travel products with travel providers. This includes professional advisory services, itinerary planning, booking management and facilitation of travel arrangements.“Travel Provider” means the company or organisation providing the travel service or product including airlines, cruise lines, tour operators, accommodation providers, transport companies or other travel service providers.“Travel Product” means the services supplied by a Travel Provider including flights, accommodation, tours, cruises, transfers, rail services or other travel services.“Website” means the Holiday World website located at:

Acceptance of Terms
These Terms & Conditions explain the relationship between Holiday World, our clients and the travel providers whose services form part of your travel arrangements.By confirming a booking or making payment to Holiday World you acknowledge that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions together with the booking conditions of the travel providers involved in your arrangements.A summary of key booking conditions may also appear on Holiday World Statements of Account, invoices and travel documentation. In the event of any inconsistency, the full Booking Terms & Conditions published on this page apply.These Terms & Conditions should be read together with the booking conditions of the travel providers involved in your arrangements.Holiday World may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The applicable terms will be those in effect at the time your booking is confirmed.
Agency
Holiday World acts as a travel agent for airlines, cruise lines, tour operators, accommodation providers, transport companies and other travel service providers.We arrange and sell travel products on behalf of these suppliers. Holiday World does not own, operate or control the services provided by these travel providers.When you make a booking through Holiday World you enter into:• a contract with the relevant Travel Provider for the services they provide
• a separate agreement with Holiday World for the professional services we provide in researching, arranging and managing your travel bookingsTravel providers operate independently and are responsible for delivering the services they supply.Holiday World may receive commissions or other remuneration from travel providers for travel products booked through our agency. We may also charge professional service fees for the time, expertise and resources involved in planning and managing travel arrangements.Subject to your rights under Australian Consumer Law, your rights to amend or cancel a Travel Product, and any entitlement to refunds, credits or compensation, will be governed by the terms and conditions of the relevant Travel Provider.
Supplier Responsibility
Travel service providers operate independently and are responsible for the services they provide.Holiday World cannot accept responsibility for the acts, omissions or default of any travel service provider including airlines, cruise companies, tour operators, accommodation providers or transport operators.All information relating to travel services including accommodation descriptions, cruise itineraries, flight schedules and inclusions is provided by the travel provider.Holiday World does not guarantee the accuracy of information supplied by travel providers.
Prices and Quotations
All prices quoted are correct at the time of issue but are subject to change until reservations are confirmed and deposits are received.Deposits secure reservations but may not guarantee the final price. Prices may fluctuate due to exchange rate movements, supplier surcharges, government taxes or other charges imposed by travel providers.Travellers may choose to make payment prior to the final payment date which may reduce exposure to potential increases.
Use of Itineraries and Quotations
Travel proposals, itineraries and quotations prepared by Holiday World are provided for the purpose of arranging travel through our agency.These materials remain the intellectual property of Holiday World and may not be reproduced, distributed or used to make bookings directly with travel suppliers without our consent.Where a client chooses to use information or itineraries prepared by Holiday World to book directly with a supplier, Holiday World reserves the right to charge a professional planning fee for the advisory services provided.
Authority
Where a booking is made on behalf of more than one traveller, the person making the booking confirms they have the authority to accept these Terms & Conditions on behalf of all travellers included in the booking.
Deposits and Payments
Deposits are required to confirm travel arrangements. The amount of deposit required varies depending on the travel provider and the travel product being booked.Some promotional fares and special offers require full payment at the time of booking.Final payment is required by the date specified on your Statement of Account or travel documentation.Failure to make payment by the due date may result in cancellation of the booking and forfeiture of deposits.Payment of a deposit, service fee or final payment constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions and the booking conditions of the travel providers involved in the booking.Where payment is made by credit card, the cardholder confirms they are authorised to use the card and approve the transaction.Clients agree not to initiate a credit card chargeback where services have been provided in accordance with these Terms & Conditions and the relevant travel provider conditions.Any chargeback raised in relation to a legitimate transaction may result in recovery action and associated administrative costs.
Service Fees and Commissions
Holiday World may charge professional service fees for the time, expertise and resources involved in researching, planning, booking and managing travel arrangements.These fees may include booking fees, ticketing fees, amendment fees or cancellation handling fees.Professional service fees and administration charges are generally non-refundable once paid, subject to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.Holiday World may also receive commissions or other remuneration from travel providers in relation to travel arrangements booked through our agency.In some circumstances, particularly where complex or detailed travel planning is requested, a professional planning fee may apply for the time and expertise involved in researching and preparing travel proposals. Where applicable, this will be discussed with you prior to work commencing.
Amendments and Cancellations
If you request changes to your booking after it has been confirmed, amendment fees may apply.These fees may include both travel provider charges and Holiday World service fees for processing the change.Cancellation fees may apply from the time a booking is confirmed and generally increase closer to departure.Details about amendments, cancellation fees and any additional costs are determined by the travel providers and their booking conditions.
Refunds
Refunds are subject to the conditions of the travel providers involved in your booking.Where a refund is approved by a travel provider, funds must first be returned to Holiday World by that supplier before they can be forwarded to you.Processing times for supplier refunds may vary and can take several weeks or longer depending on the travel provider.Holiday World cannot refund monies until funds have been received from the supplier.Service fees retained by Holiday World are generally non-refundable.
Travel Documentation
Travellers must ensure that all names provided for bookings match their passport or identification exactly, including middle names where required by the travel provider.Holiday World relies on the information provided by travellers and cannot be responsible for errors in names or personal details supplied to us.Any costs associated with correcting or reissuing tickets due to incorrect information will be the responsibility of the traveller.Whilst we offer assistance with documentation requirements, it is the responsibility of each traveller to ensure they hold valid passports, visas and any documentation required for their journey.Passports for international travel generally require a validity of at least six months beyond the date of return.
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all travel arrangements.Travel insurance may provide protection for unexpected events such as cancellations, medical emergencies, travel delays or loss of luggage.If travel insurance is not included in your booking, it is the traveller’s responsibility to arrange appropriate cover.The Australian Government’s Smartraveller website advises that travel insurance is as important as a passport when travelling overseas.
Government Travel Advisories
Travellers are encouraged to review the Australian Government travel advisory website:www.smartraveller.gov.auTravel advisories may be issued due to political unrest, natural disasters, health risks or other circumstances.Where travellers choose to travel against government advice, travel may proceed without responsibility or liability to Holiday World.
Airline Schedule Changes
Airlines may alter flight schedules, aircraft types, departure times or routings after tickets have been issued.These changes are beyond the control of Holiday World.While we will make every reasonable effort to assist in managing these changes, airlines determine the alternatives available.Any additional costs arising from airline schedule changes may be the responsibility of the traveller unless otherwise covered by the airline or travel insurance.
Operational Changes and Travel Disruptions
Travel arrangements may be disrupted due to circumstances outside the control of Holiday World, including airline operational changes, airspace closures, weather events, industrial action, government restrictions, health measures or other factors affecting travel providers.Airlines, cruise lines, tour operators and other travel providers retain full control over their schedules, routes, equipment, operating conditions and service delivery. These decisions may be made with little or no advance notice.While Holiday World will make every reasonable effort to assist clients in managing disruptions and communicating available options, we do not control these operational decisions and cannot guarantee specific outcomes or alternatives.Any additional costs arising from changes imposed by travel providers, government authorities or other external circumstances may be the responsibility of the traveller unless covered by the relevant travel provider or travel insurance.
Force Majeure – Events Beyond Our Control
Travel arrangements may be affected by circumstances beyond the control of Holiday World or the travel providers involved in your booking.These events may include natural disasters, severe weather, acts of war or terrorism, political unrest, airline operational disruptions, government travel restrictions or other unforeseen circumstances.Where such circumstances occur, travel providers may cancel, delay or amend services without prior notice.Holiday World will make every reasonable effort to assist clients in managing these changes but cannot accept liability for any loss, delay, additional expense or inconvenience arising from events beyond our control.
Special Requests
Special requests such as seating preferences, dietary requirements or room configurations will be passed to travel providers wherever possible.However, as Holiday World is not the service provider, these requests cannot be guaranteed.
Privacy
Holiday World collects personal information to facilitate travel bookings and arrangements.Information may be shared with travel providers, airlines, tour operators and other suppliers as required to complete travel arrangements.Further information regarding how we manage personal information is available in our Privacy Policy on our website.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
